How To Reverse MS Effectively With The Right Kind Of Diet

By Sherry Gross

It is always a marvel to see the human body in action. It is fascinating to note that the anatomy of the average human is actually composed of so many different systems that have connected functions to make the entire system work. It even has its own battle army to be able to get ready for any battle with all kinds of unexpected invaders.

The human immune system is an amazing protective mechanism. It defends you against bacteria, parasites, viruses, and other microbial organisms that can enter and take over your body. Healthy diet and an active lifestyle can make your immunity stronger, but there are times when your own system attacks you. This is called autoimmunity, and is the leading cause for diseases like Reverse MS, lupus, and others.

Multiple sclerosis, as aforementioned, is an autoimmune disease. This means that your own antibodies attack your brain and spinal cord. These two are very important components of the nervous system, and it will cause quite a blow to daily living if these two are damaged. In a deeper sense, the said disease causes the myelin to gradually thin, so the nerves will not be able to conduct impulses.

It has gotten its name from the build up of scar tissue in the brain. The scars or sclerosis come from the lesions in the nervous system that commonly affects the white matter in the optic nerves, brain stems, basal ganglia, and the spinal cord. It rarely manifests in the peripheral nervous system.

Symptoms of multiple sclerosis actually varies form one person to the next. The damaged nerve signals can cause debilitating signs in an affected person like walking and coordination problems. The affected individual will inevitably have poor control of muscular functions because the commands from the brain cannot reach the intended part. Added symptoms include numbness or pins and needles.

Eye related problems are also linked to MS. This is because the lesions are somehow affecting the white matter in the optic nerves which allows one to perceive sight. If the illness progresses without any attempts to reverse it, the patient may ultimately lose control of all his or her muscles and will even have bladder and bowel control difficulties.

The real cause of the said illness is currently unknown, even though dedicated teams of medical experts have devoted most of their professional lives trying to understand the disease and come up with a really effective cure. One possible cause, according to them, is immunologic in origin yet they have not really pinpointed to which immune cell is responsible. Genetic conditions can also be one, yet they are quick to say that the illness is not really hereditary.

As of the present, there is actually no known cure for the said illness. Most patients are treated with a variety of drugs that are meant to slow down the progression of the disease, but they have varied effects for each patient. Some of them benefit from it, while an alarming number do not. It is for this reason that people are turning to a new kind of special diet to help reverse the said disease. This is also known as the paleo diet.

The paleo diet mimics the usual diet of the early men. This nutritional approach works with your genetics to help you stay fit. It is also known to fight MS, diabetes, and other serious conditions.
